Your photos stay on your device
Photos, RAW files, and videos are processed and stored locally. Momentap does not upload your media to our servers or to RevenueCat. Capture files and related metadata, such as capture time, format, and Photos asset identifiers, may be stored in the app’s private storage.
Saving media to your Photos library requires the appropriate iOS permission. Local files can be affected by device storage management and app removal.
Permissions and local settings
Camera access enables photography and recording. Microphone access enables audio recording with video. Photos access enables saving captures to your library. You can change permissions in iOS Settings; some features will then be unavailable. Momentap does not request location or contacts access.
Preferences, capture state, and subscription access state are stored on your device. Local system logs may contain technical events such as capture timing and errors; we do not operate a remote analytics service for those logs. Device backups and iCloud Photos, if enabled, are governed by your Apple settings and Apple’s policies.
Subscriptions and RevenueCat
Apple processes subscription payments. We do not receive your payment card details. Momentap uses RevenueCat to validate purchases, provide subscription access, restore purchases, and display paywalls.
RevenueCat processes an anonymous app user identifier, purchase and transaction information, product identifiers, subscription status and dates, and technical context needed to operate its SDK and paywalls, such as app and SDK versions, platform, locale, and currency. Subscription and paywall activity may be used to understand subscription performance. Your captured media is not included in this information. Momentap does not require a personal account or send your name or email address to RevenueCat through the app.

Support and sharing
If you email support, we receive the information you choose to provide, including your email address and message. We use it to respond and resolve your request. Avoid sending sensitive photos or payment card information.
We use service providers only for the purposes described here. We do not sell personal information or use your media for advertising. We may disclose information if legally required, to protect rights and security, or in connection with a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. Service providers may process information in other countries under their applicable privacy protections.
Retention and your choices
Local captures and preferences remain until removed by the app, by you, or through app removal. Removing the app does not remove media already saved to Photos, cancel an Apple subscription, or automatically erase transaction records held by Apple or RevenueCat. Manage subscriptions in your Apple account settings.
Purchase records may be retained by Apple and RevenueCat for service operation, legal, accounting, and fraud prevention purposes. Support correspondence is retained as needed to resolve requests and meet applicable obligations.
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of personal information, object to certain processing, or contact your local supervisory authority. Email us to make a request. We may need enough information to verify and locate the relevant record; please do not send payment card details. You can withdraw device permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Security and children
We rely on iOS app storage protections and the security measures of Apple and RevenueCat. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Momentap does not knowingly solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
This website and policy updates
These pages are hosted on Google Firebase Hosting. Google may process request and technical information to provide hosting and security under its Privacy Policy. We do not add advertising trackers or analytics to these pages.
We may update this policy when the app or our practices change. The date above identifies the current version; material changes will be communicated where required by applicable law.
